Have you ever wanted to know what the rides are like at an amusement park before getting on them because you don't like surprises? Yeah, me too. This is the Ultimate guide to riding the attractions at WWOHP. This is full of tips, tricks, and reviews for each and every ride. #universalorlando #wizardingworldofharrypotter #travelbabe #tipsandtricksfortheplanner #reviewsforthosewhoneedopinions
Hogwarts Express
The legendary Hogwarts Express. It makes you feel like the golden trio are in the passenger cabin next to yours. In order to get on the Hogwarts Express you have to have a Park-To-Park pass. The Park-To-Park pass is worth it because not only do you get to ride the Hogwarts Express but you also get to see the other half of WWOHP. Another cool thing about the Hogwarts Express that it has a different story going either way, so ride it twice. If you really want to have the full HP experience, eat a chocolate frog while you ride. PS the ride is very short, so don't worry about putting off a whole lot of time for the train.
Flight of the Hippogriff
This is the only actual roller coaster in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter portion. It is so much fun, it's fast but shouldn't scare little ones above the height limit. Flight of the Hippogriff is across the exit of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey which is in the Hogwarts Castle. While in line for the ride you will see Hagrid's tiny cottage and his motorcycle. As you start the ride there is even an appearance from Buckbeak. This was my favorite ride from the WWOHP. You can use a fastpass on this ride.
Harry Potter and the Forbbidden Journey
This is in Hogsmeade and you can't miss it, that's because it's inside the Hogwarts Castle. As you walk through the castle you'll notice magical sounds and super cool little details. Such as the mirror of Erised and talking/moving pictures. HP and the Forbidden Journey is half a screened ride and half a moving ride. It takes you through the castle and uses screen to take you through the quidditch field. This also has a fast pass option. If you get motion sick easily, this might not be your best bet without a lot of dramamine in you. I felt dizzy afterwards. The ride was fun while going through it. You run into all sorts of stuff throughout the ride.
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
I LOVED this ride. Throughout HPATEFG, you are trying to run from Voldemort and a few of his most famous death eaters. Before getting to the excitement (the ride) you go through Gringotts and witness goblin bank tellers and more. Sadly I didn't see any nifflers up to mischief. This is a 3D ride. I was actually very surprised with the lack of motion sickness I had on this ride. In fact I went on it two more times in a row thanks to child-swap. The wait is quite long on this ride , I would invest in fast pass for sure.
Thank you so much for reading my reviews on rides featured at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I hope this was helpful in getting to know more about the rides.
