Struggling with test grades? Now you can ace them all, just read on. #highschoollife

1.Take advantage of tutoring

If you have a teacher that offers tutoring before or after school, TAKE ADVANTAGE! Tutoring can help you understand and memorize the materials you're learning in class. This also is a good time to ask the teacher without the fear of sounding like an idiot in front of the whole class.

2. Best tip for vocab tests

If you just can't remember a word and it's definition, try to find a correlation within it. For example: the word is abdicate. The definition of the word is "loss of power" or "renounce someone's throne" The correlation could be that you notice the suffix "dicate" which you could see as "dictate". The word dictate reminds me of dictators, dictators are known to be in charge of the government. The prefix "ab" means away, therefore we end up with remembering that abdicate means to lose power because we are thinking away with dictators. Sorry if that was confusing.

3. Calm

There is an app called Calm. This app is a miracle worker. It plays white noise, calming music, sleep stories, and it has meditation sessions. When you first get it, you will have some free content. There is a premium option that unlocks all of the options. It costs $5 a month but it is so worth it. I listen to it when I am studying because it really helps me focus. This app is amazing, you won't regret it if you get it. #notsponsored

4.The Treadmill

This might sound crazy but it's really helpful. If you are like me and you can't ever just stop and pay attention, you have to try this. Get on a treadmill and put it on a walking pace. This will give your body something to do and will help focus your brain. You can set your workbook up in front of you and get to reading. This is the best tip of all time if you are a kinetic learner.

5. When making flashcards or annotating, use different colored pens

I don't know why this works but it does. There is something about seeing different colors that will help trigger the memory into remembering the material on the flashcard.

6. Online tests and quizzes

If you're worried about a test and what it will be like or you are worried you don't know the material, take practice tests online. When you take them you will see what you know and what you need to work on. A great resource you can use for free is Khan Academy. Khan Academy has lessons and practice for almost every subject you can think of, and did I mention that it's free? #notsponsagain

7. Biggest thing to remember

If you aren't sure what to study try to remember everything your teacher has made a point to tell the class. They wouldn't tell you something if it wasn't important. it is ten-times more important if they give you a worksheet about it.
